BANGKOK, Thailand – A recent survey by North Bangkok University Poll has revealed strong public approval of the government’s efforts to combat call center scams. Most respondents commended the swift and decisive actions taken under Prime Minister Paetongtarn Shinawatra’s leadership, describing the government’s approach as effective and well-directed.

The poll found that 61.2% of respondents considered the government’s anti-scam measures beneficial. Many also suggested additional actions, including arresting corrupt officials, strengthening cooperation with neighboring countries, and cutting electricity and internet access to scam operations. Other recommendations included deploying military forces and building physical barriers at border areas to prevent further criminal activity.

The central administration is working to enhance cooperation with foreign partners, particularly China and neighboring countries, to target cross-border fraud operations. Measures such as disrupting telecommunications signals and monitoring financial transactions tied to scams are also being considered.

In addition to tackling scams, the government is ramping up efforts to address human trafficking, drug-related crimes, and other security threats. These actions help create a safer environment for citizens and protect against financial losses from fraud.

With growing public support, authorities are determined to continue their crackdown on call center scams and organized crime. The government has assured the public that it will maintain a strong focus on security and law enforcement, working with international partners to eliminate criminal networks and safeguard citizens.
