TAK, Thailand – The situation on the Thai-Myanmar border in Tak Province remains volatile as KNLA (Karen National Liberation Army) forces launch heavy attacks, March 2. Myanmar’s military responded by deploying bombers to defend their bases, located just 800 meters from the border.
The KNLA utilized drones to drop seven bombs on Myanmar’s military base in Pulutu, located in Hpa An District, Karen State, across from Talaoka village in Mae Usu Subdistrict, Tha Song Yang District, Tak Province. In retaliation, around 1:50 PM, the Myanmar military used a YAK-130 aircraft to drop a bomb near the KNLA base to protect their position, further escalating tensions in the border area.
The Thai military has increased security measures to prevent any encroachment into Thai territory. (TNA)
