Cambodian cyclists join Bike for Mom in honor of HM the Queen

BANGKOK, 21 August 2015 – Cambodian cyclists who participated in the Bike for Mom event in Trat Province continued their journey to Bangkok, and arrived in the capital yesterday to sign well-wishing messages for Her Majesty Queen Sirikit on the auspicious occasion of her 83rd birthday anniversary on August 12, 2015.

The Cambodian cyclists, led by Danai Komkai, a 40-year-old biking enthusiast from Phnom Penh, presented a gift basket before the images of Their Majesties the King and Queen at a Palace Pavilion in the Grand Palace.

Her Majesty’s Deputy Private Secretary Thanpuying Charungjit Teekara and the Secretary to the Royal Embassy of Cambodia in Thailand welcomed the cyclists.

The Cambodian cyclists left Phnom Penh on August 11 and arrived in the eastern province of Trat on August 15, before taking part in the cycling event on the next day. After the event, they traveled to Bangkok to pay homage to Her Majesty the Queen. The journey took them 10 days to complete a distance of 764 kilometers.
