Merit-making and partying highlighted a full day for the head of the Chonburi Immigration Office as he celebrated his birthday.
Pol. Col. Prapansak Prasarnsuk invited nine monks to collect nine baskets of alms before serving them lunch Aug. 18.
Other top officers and staff at the Jomtien Beach office took part in the merit-making ceremony, following along as the monks chanted and helped in providing the meal for the priests.
The mood was more festive that night as the superintendent celebrated his 42nd birthday with a party well attended by fellow immigration officers. The crowd was entertained by singers of both country and Issan music.
