Re: Councilman alleges irregularities in Pattaya road-safety projects (PM Friday, 14 August 2015) – Many of those new yellow barrier rings are on the wrong side of the curves as well. Centrifugal force would make it almost impossible hit the inside barrier when going around the curve. The thrust of the moving car or motorbike is to the outside of the curve, not to the inside of the curve.
They look damned expensive as well. It really ticks one off to see these new barriers lining the inside of the curves. The person that installed them would only need to follow the deep gouge lines left in the tarmac by sliding motorbikes to see where danger lies and where to install the safety barriers.
