The best score of the day came in division 1 from Chris Voller who won with a net 71.  He was followed in second place by Terry Madsen with net 73 and Dave Horne took third on net 77.

Wednesday, Sept. 2, Greenwood – Stableford

There are always a few moans regarding the travelling distance to this course and the numbers were quite low today with only one division out.  We were playing the B and C courses and playing off handicap 11, Jerry Sweetnam took the top spot on the podium with a fine 41 points.

Nine points behind Jerry in second place was Chris Voller and Mike took third on 29.

There were near pins prizes today on B2 and C6 but only one person managed to get on either green, Jerry Sweetnam on C6 and he also birdied the hole to take a share of the ‘2’s loot with Gil Phillips.

Friday, Sept. 4, Eastern Star – Stableford

Seven groups out today with the cut set at 9-13 and 14+ and 39 points was enough to win division 2 for Iain Walsh, with Frank Kelly taking second one point behind and Curtis Hessler securing third after beating Komwut Kana 19/18 on the back nine, both players tied on 34 points each.

Arthur Hancock beat Jerry Sweetnam on a count back in division 1 to take first place after they both returned scores of 36 points, and in third place was Ken Leadstone with 35.

Near pins went to (Div 1) Frank Kelly, Jerry Sweetnam and Chris Voller (2), and (Div 2) Komwut Kana (2).

Frank Kelly, Komwut Kana and Tony Thorne all registered birdie ‘2’s to claim a share of the pot.
