RAYONG, 29 September 2015 – Some roads in Rayong province have been submerged after the rain fell continuously. The province warned people to prepare for a monsoon which may cause strong winds, flooding and mudslides.

The submerged roads are in Mueang district and an irrigation area. The Department of Disaster Prevention and Mitigation suggested relevant units urgently repair drainage pipes so as to prevent flooding, dredge shallow water courses and install water pumps.

In Surat Thani province, some parts of a road in Phanom district has been flooded. They are expected to dry on Tuesday evening. Around 300 households have been affected by the flooding and mudslides.
