Millions in baht in cash and jewelry were stolen from a Pattaya home burglarized three times previously without police catching any of the thieves, a caretaker claimed.
Arunee Saelim, whose niece and foreign husband own the Eakmongkol 4 Village home victimized on Sept. 27, said security cameras captured video of an Asian man scaling a fence, jimmying a side door and breaking into a bedroom safe.
Arunee said her niece and husband are traveling and she was asked to watch over the home while they were away. On Sept. 27, she went out from 3 p.m. until midnight and cam back to find something amiss.

The next morning she discovered the broken door and that the 50×50-centimeter safe had been forced open.
Police checked CCTV footage and found that at 5:48 p.m., a white Toyota stopped outside and the burglar got out. He used a metal bar to pry open the second-floor safe.
Arunee said the home has been broken into at least four times now and police have never arrested anyone. She said she feels the home is not safe now.
It is believed there is more than one burglar involved and they are probably professionals who feed off homes that are left vacant for extended periods. Police officers have been ordered to investigate the area and the case continues.
