The 10th staging of the Thailand Property Awards last month proved to be another big night for Nova Group, the long-established Pattaya-based developer.  The company came first in one category and had two other projects receive highly-commended awards to bring its tally of class wins to 4 and shortlist nominations to more than 11 over the past decade.

The group triumphed in the newly-created Best Affordable Condo Development (Eastern Seaboard) class with its Amari Residences Pattaya project.  Last year the same development was voted Best Condo Development (Eastern Seaboard).  In the same ‘Affordable’ category, Nova’s Serenity Wongamat project was also highly commended.

Rony Fineman, CEO of Nova Group, poses with Thailand Property Awards trophies collected by the company over the past decade. In 2015 Nova came first in one category and had two other projects highly-commended.

Amari Residences Pattaya is a 33-storey building located on two rai land plot in the Pratumnak area of the city, close to the PEACH Exhibition Centre.  It will be a mixed-use development with 15 of the lower floors allocated as serviced residences and the balance being privately owned condominiums.  In total there will be 276 units.

The first four floors of the building will be reserved for covered parking and the project will also provide a large, 25-metre swimming pool with sunbathing area and gardens, a huge five star lobby with six-metre high ceilings, a VIP/Business lounge area, a library room, a fitness centre with steam room and sauna, four high speed elevators, 24 hours security and more.  It is expected to reach completion in Q4 of 2015.

In one of the other new Thailand Property Awards classes this year, Nova Luxury Developments’ The Palm Wongamat Beach was highly commended in the Best Luxury Condo Development (Eastern Seaboard) category.  In 2014 the Palm had also been highly commended and in 2013 it was the overall ES condo class winner.

Nova has featured prominently in the winners’ circle at the Thailand Property Awards over the past decade, little wonder then that group chief executive Rony Fineman is delighted with the company’s latest successes and continued industry recognition.

“It’s truly great that we have managed to continue our run of class wins this year,” said Mr. Fineman.  “We have worked hard over many years building Nova into the force it is today.  I’m really pleased that the quality we put into our developments is now being recognized by independent judges on a regular basis.”

Earlier in the year the group removed two condo developments from the market due to financial uncertainties posed by currency fluctuations, especially in relation to the Russian market, but the Nova chief does not see this as signaling a halt in 2016 to the company’s recent run of award wins.

“No reason why it should,” he said.  “We still have great products such as North Beach, Nam Talay and Serenity in the market place though, admittedly, we are close to selling out in the last two.  We thought Serenity might come out on top this time but it will still be eligible for consideration next year.  When you also take into account our considerable presence in local hotels I’m confident the good name of Nova will retain a high profile in Pattaya for many years to come.”
