The Backyard Golf Society
It was another good day out for the Backyard golfers at our usual Emerald course last week, Friday, Oct. 2. With only 2 groups we somehow managed to lose the second group as they fell three holes behind the first 3-ball. Perhaps ‘Wattie’ and ‘Who Brought Him’ should spend more time playing and less talking?
The winner on the day was ‘Irish John’ with 38 points, with an even par back-nine thrown in for good measure. The near-pin was won by the ‘He’s a Victorian’.
‘Irish John’ won 11 of the skins, ‘Khun Wattie’ won 5, there was a single to ‘He’s a Victorian’ and we have one rollover to next week.
Emerald is in fine condition at the moment after the recent rains but the greens are still a little slow.
