Events

The next meeting of the Pattaya City Expats Club (PCEC) will be held on Sunday, Oct. 18. Everyone is warmly welcome. The speaker will be from Phyathai Hospital Sriracha on a medical topic of interest to Expats. Also, the hospital will be providing this year’s flu vaccine during the meeting for those that have previously signed up for it. The Club meets every Sunday morning at the Tavern by the Sea Restaurant located on the north end of Beach Road (part of the Amari Orchid Resort). The program starts at 10:30 a.m. with a buffet breakfast available from 9:00 to 11:00 a.m.

A Joint Chambers Eastern Seaboard Networking Evening will be held at the Centara Grand Mirage Beach Resort Pattaya on Friday, Oct. 16 from 6.00 – 9.00 p.m. (last drinks served at 8.30 p.m.). The 2015 Pattaya Triathlon will take place at 6 a.m. on Saturday, October 17 from a start on Pattaya Beach, opposite the Hard Rock Hotel. Three race categories will be held: a Standard Triathlon (1.5km swim – 43km bike – 10.8km run), Sprint Distance (0.75km swim – 22km bike – 6.2km run), and a Duathlon (6.2km run – 43km bike – 10.8km run). The 2015 Pattaya Vegetarian Festival takes place from October 13-21 at the Sawang Boriboon Foundation headquarters in Naklua / North Pattaya. Everybody is invited to join and be part of the major merit ceremony while staff members and volunteers stir away at the huge pots of vegetarian food. Attendees are advised to dress in white to show purity during the festival. Other fun activities at the event include traditional dance shows and the symbolic summoning of Pra Pothisath. A traditional Oktoberfest celebration will be held at the Amari Pattaya on Saturday, October 24 starting at 7 p.m. An authentic Bavarian buffet will be accompanied by live music, games and Oktoberfest competitions. Guests will also get to bring a beer mug home. Price: 1,400 THB per person or 12,000 THB per table (10 seats). This event is being organized by the Singapore-Thai Chamber of Commerce. The famous annual Chonburi buffalo races will be held from Oct. 24-26 on the municipal field in front of the Chonburi Provincial Town Hall. Along with the races being held throughout the festival, spectators can also enjoy a “Miss Buffalo” contest, folk music, fun games, rides for the children, and a plethora of food, drink and handicraft stalls.

The Rayong-Pattaya Ladies Circle invites you to a ‘Roaring 20s Red Carpet Ball’ at the Amari Pattaya on Saturday, November 7 from 7 p.m. – 1 a.m. Tickets cost THB 3,000 and include an un-prohibited flow of wine and beer, set menu, music and raffle prizes.
