Pattaya Police commended their outstanding officers and volunteers in a merit-making ceremony for National Police Day.
Superintendent Pol. Col. Sukthat Pumpunmuang presented certifications to 24 police officers from the Soi 9 station and 39 volunteers for their outstanding service as a way to boost morale Oct. 13.
He also led the merit-making with nine monks from Chaimongkol Temple, who offered up prayers and blessing from officers who’ve passed away.
Monks then were provided a lunch.

Police Day was established on October 13, 1915 when the Constable of the Patrol Department and Provincial Police Department were merged into the Royal Thai Police Department.
