A UK-based drama company has visited Garden International School to pass on some top acting tips.
Performance Exchange made a special trip to GIS to give students in Years 9 and 10 some tips on acting and performing.
Actors held workshops with students who are studying IGCSE Drama and World Literature, with a focus on Shakespeare and movement.
For the final lesson of the day, all Secondary students enjoyed watching a performance by the actors. Some even helped perform some of Shakespeare’s most famous soliloquies.
Year 7 students from GIS help with a performance of Henry V.
Activities included boosting students’ confidence and creativity.
Performance Exchange from the UK paid a special visit to GIS, giving GIS students a chance to take part in workshops about Shakespeare and movement.
