BANGKOK – Siam City Park hosted a press conference today. Traditional Thai Puppets renowned for their highlight performance “Jewel of ASEAN” briefly performed at the gathering.
On 19th November 2015, Her Royal Highness Princess Somsawalee will preside over the ASEAN Lantern Festival which will be held from 19th November 2015 – 22 February 2016 at 10.00-22.00 hrs. The Public Relations Department will also hold an ASEAN Festival called “Welcome to the ASEAN Community” from 23rd-26th December 2015. The ASEAN Festival celebrates the famous landmarks of each ASEAN member country, such as Merlion of Singapore, Petronas Twin Towers of Malaysia and Angkor Wat of Cambodia.
Dr. Chaiwat Luangamornlert, Chief Executive Officer of the Siam City Park and Mr. Jaroon Chaisorn, Deputy Director-General of the Public Relations Department, offered information about the ASEAN Lantern Festival and also accompanied with Mrs. Pranee Satayaprakorb, Director of the Culture, Sports and Tourism Department of the Bangkok Metropolitan Administration, and Mrs. Noppagarn Luangamornlert, Deputy Managing Director of City Walk co.,ltd.
Dr. Chaiwat thanked the Public Relation Department, the Bangkok Metropolitan Administration, and the Tourism Authority of Thailand. He also mentioned that he has always placed importance on the status of the nations. At the end of this year we are going to integrate with each other to create the ASEAN Community he noted. Thailand will be at the hub of ASEAN due to geopolitics.
Mrs. Pranee Satayaprakorb, Director of the Culture, Sports and Tourism Department of the Bangkok Metropolitan Administration, added that the event will significantly help boost Thai tourism and Siam City Park will be great tourist attractions. Moreover Bangkok is the best place in the world for 4 years including Siam Park City which is one of the most interesting attractions.
