Nong Nooch Garden Pattaya will organize its Loy Krathong celebration on Nov. 24, a day before Thailand’s official celebration.
The “Magic of Water” festival was announced by park and Pattaya officials Nov. 5.
The festival will celebrate Phra Mae Khongkha, the goddess of water, in ancient tradition and spur tourism to Pattaya.
Park visitors will be invited to float their own krathongs while enjoying an ornamental light and music show, a Miss Noppamas pageant and participation from the park’s herd of elephants.
