Dear Editor;
On the evening of Dec 22, at approximately 20.30 hours I was walking along the beach front past Soi 7 to Soi 2. I observed a brown rat which ran across the footpath onto the beach. I watched it being joined by others to forage for food and in the next 15 minutes I counted more than 50 brown rats running around by the beach walkway. They were climbing into the trees, hiding behind the stacked deckchairs, and generally it was difficult to not notice them.
What a health hazard! This is how disease is spread. As a British NHS worker I implore the local authorities to set traps and get this situation resolved.
A failure to do so can only be considered as crass stupidity.
Yours sincerely,
Alexander
