Good health was the focus when the Nongprue Woman’s Development Group held its first meeting this year.

President Jamnien Chaiyanit presided over the Jan. 6 meeting at the Nongprue Health Center at which New Year’s presents were handed out to members before a talk on health and exercise.

Jamnien advised members that, starting Jan. 4, the Nongprue Artificial Kidney Center would be open, offering dialysis services to those who hold social security insurance and gold card memberships. The center is located on Soi Khao Talo and is open 7 a.m. to 10 p.m. Monday to Saturday.

Club members also were encouraged to think positively for the new year, with a doctor from Banglamung Hospital telling attendees they should exercise at least 30 minutes a day to improve their health and well-being.

Finally, Jamnien announced that the “Nongprue Shop, Invite to Taste” market will take place the first Wednesday of every month. Locally made products, food and other items are offered at affordable prices by local residents and open from 9 a.m. outside the Nongprue municipal office.
