Green Valley was bared to its defenseless Sunday configuration and gave up some big scores, but none the equal to Randy Conti’s A Flight winning 40 points thanks to a sparkling gross 79. Randy’s score topped a pair of A Flight 35’s coming from Christian Christensen and the big hitting Dave Boran, with Christen just edging Dave for the silver.

While it wasn’t the best score on the day, Sir William Peach’s 39 points was awfully good for the top spot in the C Flight. Mind you, it did need the aid of a count back to edge the unlucky Andreas Bardill. Fredrick Birch closed the flight with 35 points.
B Flight was a very tight affair with the golf director standing atop the podium with an excellent 38 points. Peter was one stroke clear of big Kevin Hamilton and David Dunne, the scales of justice in the count back leaning in Kevin’s favour.
Monday, Jan. 4, Plutaluang E & S – Stableford

A glance at the winning score for Sunday and Monday is enough you about the relative difficulty of Green Valley’s Sunday layout and that of Plutaluang East and South. The astonished winner was David Dune, playing off a 17 handicap and with the same score he had on Sunday that only gave him third spot in B Flight. So it was a second time to the pay window for him in two days.
David was one clear of Ryves Patsada while third on the podium was Peter ‘the right honorable’ Hynard with 31 points.
A knot of two players was to be found at 30 points in the persons of Mick Folan and Pen Caruthers, with Mick’s back nine found to be more evenly dispersed as Pen dropped off the pay sheet.
Wednesday, Jan. 6, Burapha A & B – Stableford

A very large Lewiinski’s turnout dictated that three flights were required for the trip to tackle the very popular Burapha. The weather was very hot and humid and the course was in excellent condition.

Francis Goyons proved to be a very popular winner in the top flight and gain the man of the match honours with a splendid 41 points. Pen Caruthers followed Francis up the podium steps with an impressive 40 points, making up for Monday’s count back loss. Roger Emery, never far from the brass ring, rounded out the flight with a solid 38 points.
Dropping down to the junior flight, we saw Thierry Temime standing atop the podium with his very impressive 40 point return. Thierry was six strokes clear of Henricus Braale and a further four strokes clear of Jean Dube.
B Flight was the domain of Aussie star Lou ‘Zig-zag’ with a steady even par round. The man riding a purple patch, David Dunne, made it three pay window visits on the bounce with his 35 points. Walter Baechli, one of the nicest and most effervescent personalities and a person who would look at home on the ski slopes, tidied up the flight with 33 points.
Friday, Jan. 8, Silky Oak – Stableford

The very tough and tricky Silky Oak was the host to the Lewiinski’s gang today. The course was in fine condition and the accompanying breeze made it perfect for golf.
Henricus Braale took the top spot in B Flight with a man of the match blistering 41 points for his second podium finish this week. Randy Conti followed Henricus up the podium steps with a sound 39 points while the man on fire, David Dunne, closed the flight with a solid 38 points to make it a four time pay window visit in the week.
Francis Goyons made it two victories on the trot in B Flight with 37 points but first he had to beat Scotland’s very own Buckie boy Reg McKay in a count back. Roger Emery closed the flight out with a even par round.
