Giving Eastern Europeans a new incentive to visit Thailand, Tourism Authority of Thailand officials from Germany brought the finalists in the Miss Czech Republic beauty pageant to Pattaya.
Somchai Chaicharoensin, marketing manager for TAT Frankfurt, accompanied the women on their Jan. 14-17 visit that saw them photographed and filmed enjoying Nong Nooch Tropical Gardens, as well as tourist destinations in Bangkok and Phuket.

Nong Nooch Director Kampol Tansajja greeted the beauty contestants, whose exploits will be shown during the televised pageant back home, as well as in magazines and newspapers.
The winner of the contest will be selected April 2 on Czech national television, with an estimated 6 million people seeing the Thai segment.
This is the second time the Czech pageant has visited Pattaya. Fourteen finalists made the rounds during a similar promotional tour in 2012.
