Thousands of youngsters got closer to nature on Children’s Day with visits to the Sea Turtle Conservation Center in Sattahip.
Rear Adm. Sanon Pa-em was the host of the event at the Sattahip Naval Base facility, greeting local students, academics, youth groups and parents Jan. 9.
For Children’s Day, the center educated the kids on efforts to protect endangered turtles and encourage them to learn more about conservation.
Activities during the occasion included scholarship presentations, traditional dance performances, displays of sea turtle conservation, games, snacks and prizes for the kids.
