More than 150 Khet Udomsak residents learned how to make handbags and other items to sell during a workshop aimed at helping residents earn more money from home.
Pairoj Malakul Na Ayutthaya, mayor of the Sattahip sub-district, opened the Jan. 20 seminar for 163 people from 13 Khet Udomsak communities.
Lecturers from the Sattahip District Agricultural Department then taught how to make handbags currently popular in the marketplace and other easy-to-make items as well.

Pairoj said that the project will benefit all local residents as they can make income from their homes by creating handcrafts like handbags and other items.
Residents can come with their own ideas after learning the basics of how to create such products and it will also create a stronger community that has its own ways of development, he said.
