Re: Smashing toilets reaches amicable result (PM Friday, 12 February 2016) – How often have you seen a youngster throwing a tantrum in a supermarket? Most likely when he/she throws the chocolate down you think, poor woman that kid needs a good spanking.
Now you condone the same attitude by a grown person.
So bully for him, he got his money back, but in most western countries the police would have been called and he would be arrested and charged with public mischief.
Put yourself in the staff and manager’s position. Would you relish being abused in front of a crowd of shoppers? (Thais are renowned for forming a crowd when an altercation occurs (crash, etc.) happens.) I hesitate to think if the perpetrator was a farang you would have a different opinion. (Stupid idiot, making a fool himself.)
Many farangs sit on the fence and decide what side suits them.
