BURIRAM – The public and private sectors in Buriram have prepared more than 3,000 vacancies for drought-hit farmers whose number is likely to exceed 4,000.

Buriram Employment Office chief Anan Klankayan suggested that job seekers enquire about vacant positions at the Buriram Employment Office or meet prospective employers at an upcoming job fair on 8rd March.

Most of the jobs on offer are in the production, service, sales and repair and maintenance industries. Mr. Anan said the job placement was to enable drought affected farmers to earn income during the suspension of farming, so that they would not have to leave their home town to look for jobs elsewhere or would fall victim to illegal employment agencies.
