Re: The Pattaya Revival (PM Automania Friday, 11 March 2016) – Nice coverage of the event and hopefully will be held again next year. As an avid gear head I suggest that the organizers drop the concourse description to the event. All the concourses I have been to the cars were professionally judged in classes with awards given in each class. To have the public judge best of show the event should be just called Classics car show.
Finally I also wish to correct the story about the Model A, Clyde Barrow drove a 1934 Ford and he did send that letter to Ford.
1931 was the final year of production for the Model A that had a flat head 4 cylinder motor. In 1932 Ford introduced a new model called a Model B with a flat head V8 motor. The 1934 that Clyde referred to had a flat head V8 motor. Ford used the flat head motor in the Ford and mercury models right up to 1953.
