The next meeting of the Pattaya City Expats Club (PCEC) will be held on Sunday, March 27. Everyone is warmly welcome. John Walsh, owner of Nemo Massage, will talk about his experience in operating a legitimate massage parlor in Pattaya. The Club meets every Sunday morning at the Tavern by the Sea Restaurant located on the north end of Beach Road (part of the Amari Orchid Resort). The program starts at 10:30 a.m. with a buffet breakfast available from 9:00 to 11:00 a.m.

A Miss Hooters swimsuit pageant will take place at Hooters Pattaya restaurant on Saturday, March 26 from 6.30 p.m. onwards. Free entry for all, so come along and watch the Hooters girls compete for the chance to be crowned Miss Hooters Thailand and later go on to take part in the Miss Hooters International event in Las Vagas. A joint chambers Eastern Seaboard networking evening hosted by CANCHAM will be held at the Tavern by the Sea, Amari Orchid Pattaya Hotel on Friday, April 1 from 6.30 – 9.00 p.m. Admission cost: THB 500 net for members and guests or THB 1,000 net for non-members. The Thai Farang Initiative (TFi) will host another one of its ‘Fun events for Charity’ entitled ‘Music from the Movies’ at The Venue music bar on Soi Siam Country Club from 7pm until 10pm on Saturday, April 2.  The event will feature 2 live bands playing hit songs that have been featured in movies over the past few decades. Spot prizes will be given to guests wearing the best movie themed costumes. Entrance is 500 baht on the door and 400 baht in advance (available through the TFi Facebook page) and includes a free flow of beers, wine and soft drinks (while stocks last). EU Referendum Overseas Voter Registration: The UK Electoral Commission is encouraging British citizens living overseas to register to vote ahead of the referendum on the UK’s membership of the European Union on June 23. To register as an overseas voter you must have previously been registered in a UK constituency within the last 15 years. Once registered, overseas voters can then choose how they wish to vote. They can vote by post, by proxy (voting by appointing someone you trust to vote on your behalf), or even in person at their polling station if they will be in their local authority area on polling day. Notice to all United States registered Democrats: if you wish to vote in the Presidential primaries, as well as the final Presidential elections next November, you can vote from abroad by registering with Democrats Abroad. The Royal British Legion Thailand meets the last Saturday of every month from 2 p.m. at the Tropical Bar on Soi Khao Noi (Watboonsampan near the Temple entrance) in East Pattaya. You do not need to have served in the Armed Forces to become a member and can join in the many social events arranged throughout the year. The Samaritans of Thailand English Help Line operates 24 hours a day, 7 days a week to provide support to the expatriate community. English-speaking staff, trained in crisis intervention will provide active, non-judgmental and empathetic listening services on the phone.
