About 150 public health volunteers received their first training on helping their communities in Nongprue.
Sub-district Mayor Mai Chaiyanit opened the March 22 seminar. The attendees were welcomed by Surapol Krimprasert, director of the Public Health and Environment Division, who introduced speaker Nawawan Siriphromrungsri, a registered nurse from the Pong Sub-district Health Promotion Hospital.
Nawawan spoke on the roles and duties of health volunteers to give them professional knowledge in working and taking care of people in local areas efficiently.
Mai Chaiyanit, Nongprue Mayor, chaired the opening ceremony of “Mass Festivity Project to create good health”.
Volunteers teach lessons on living healthy lifestyles and act as eyes and ears for healthcare facilities in spotting disease outbreaks. They also provide basic health care and act as first responders.
