Startup Thailand 2016 to kick off in late April

BANGKOK – The Ministry of Science and Technology has readied to hold Startup Thailand 2016 in cooperation with 11 other public and private organizations. 

Minister of Science and Technology Pichet Durongkaveroj made known Startup Thailand 2016 is being organized with cooperation from bodies such as the Ministry of Commerce, Ministry of Finance and Ministry of Industry.

The objective of the event is to inspire and support Thai startups and build their capabilities so that they can expand into new markets. The event will allow for new startups to meet with seasoned entrepreneurs to exchange experiences and ideas as well as seek investment and capital.

Startup Thailand 2016 is the first holding of the event and will feature over 180 startups. Running from April 28 to May 1 at Queen Sirikit Convention Center, the event will feature seminars and meetings as well as a business proposal competition with a 520,000 baht prize.
