Mercedes-Benz has recalled more than 800,000 vehicles fitted with airbags made by Takata Corp. of Japan, which is facing bankruptcy over millions of recalls due to defective airbags that have killed dozens of people worldwide.

It’s unknown whether Weerachai’s vehicle was one of the recalled cars.
