Musicians from Thailand and the Philippines helped Pattaya Pride raise nearly 50,000 baht for care of HIV-infected patients.
About 40 people turned out for a musical dinner Sept. 6 at Le Café Royal. Tom Kalb and David Kerrige, the managers of the Le Cafe Royal donated 200 baht of every 750 baht buffet meal to Pattaya Pride’s HIV and AIDS work headed by Dr. Philippe Seur.

U.K. drag queen “Miss Jason” headlined the evening’s entertainment, turning even technical problems with the sound system into laughter between songs. Former Le Café Royale singer Toi, Filipino singer D.K. and a male go-go bar act rounded out the night.
Seur thanked the guests for their attendance and donations, as well as purchasing raffle tickets for a big-screen TV. They money, he said, goes toward Pattaya Pride’s care of more than 2,000 AIDS patients and medicine.
