PSC Golf from Mulligans Lakeside

Tuesday, Oct. 11, Eastern Star – Stableford

Eastern Star was the venue for our game on Tuesday, where on arrival we were met with a shower, which dampened the enthusiasm of some.  The remaining golfers ventured out and shortly after teeing off on Hole 2 the rain abated, until we had to take cover for 20 minutes near Hole 14.  The course was damp, so ‘lift clean & place’ was the order of the day.

We hadn’t played ES for a long time, a combination of reasons, including renovation of their greens (again), but with their current offer to the PSC we hope to be back.

The scores were not great, with 32 points from Jeff Wylie (6) leading the way, just ahead of Brian Maddox (20) with 31.  Near Pins were shared by Ray, Mike & Jeff with 1 missed, for a Banglamung Boys Home donation.

Thursday, Oct. 13, Pattana – Stableford

Thursday was our monthly visit to Pattana, maybe the last visit for a while as they implement a High Season pricing policy which does not take into account the current economic conditions that prevail.

The course itself is still very good, however some of the infrastructure on it has been severely affected by the recent flooding.  Again ‘lift, clean & place’ was implemented, which combined with some short tees made the course more playable, although the scores still were not great.

Jeff, with his consistent ball striking, led the way home again with 35 points from Chris Gee (21) with 32 points, while the technicals were shared equally between Jeff & the Banglamung Boys Home.

Note:  Mulligans Lakeside plays golf on Tuesday & Thursday, with presentation at the course Tuesday & Mulligans Lakeside hosting on Thursdays.  Call 089 094 1841 for scheduling or enquiries.  Hope to see you there, cheers & good golfing!
