More than 20 transvestites from 17 countries will vie for the title of “Miss International Queen” at the Tiffany Theater Nov. 4.

Tiffany Show Assistant Managing Director Alisa Phanthusak said transvestites and transsexuals from Chile, France, Germany, Japan, Lebanon, the Philippines, Russia, Sri Lanka and Venezuela will be among those competing against Miss Tiffany Universe 2011 winner Sripassorn Athgayakorn and Thailand’s other top women of the second category.

At an Oct. 10 press conference, previous winners Trichda Maanyaporn and Thanyaras Jirapanpakorn helped detail a schedule that will see contestants compete in preliminary rounds in Bangkok and Pattaya Oct. 31- Nov. 3. Profits from the show will benefit the Chai Pattana Foundation, a royal development-projects charity.

Fans can vote this year for their favorites online at RipleysThailand.com. The finals will be broadcast on Channel 9 and in more than 30 countries around the world.
