Sales already off to a good start

THE British have invaded Jomtien — not tourists, but the British car industry. The Ultimate Car Company has set up it’s showroom on the prestige corner-site at the start of Jomtien beach and will use it as a base to spearhead its sales attack on the eastern seaboard.

In the showroom are models from the not-so-humble Rover Mini through to the luxury go-anywhere-in-style Land Rover Discovery and the Range Rover.

On the saloon side there is also the Rover  800 series which is already proving to be a best seller.

Showroom sales manager Leardsak Prucksucho, told Pattaya  Mail, “We are already becoming a tourist attraction and people are just coming in to look at the cars because they are unusual.”

As well as the 800 series there is also the 200 series that culminates in the 150mph turbo coupe.

To get their sales off to a good start in this area the company has a promotion to tempt potential customers with the choice of three percent interest, a European holiday or a sailing dinghy.

“We are building a servicing centre at the rear of the showroom and our mechanics have all been to the Rover factory in England for three months training.  Whenever we have a new model introduced a team of British mechanics will come here to train our staff,”said Kuhn Leardsak.

Until the new service centre is opened spare parts have to come from Bangkok where the Ultimate Car Company has it headquarters.

“Spare are not a problem,”said Kuhn Leardsak,

“ We hold l50million baht’s worth in Bangkok.”
