Miss International Queen crown returns to Thailand

The 2011 Miss International Queen contest was held at Tiffanys theatre on Friday the 4th of November.

The glamourous occasion was filled with local celebrities and the  contest president Dr. Seri Wongmontha and the assistant director of Tiffany Show Pattaya Ms. Alisa Panthusak.

This years lucky winner is a Thai national who is majoring in communication art studies at Ramkamhaeng University, twenty one year old Sirapassorn Athayakorn.

There were 23 contestants in this years contest from 18 countries.

Ms. Alisa Panthusak, Assistant Director of Tiffany Show Pattaya Co. Ltd stated that ‘Miss International Queen 2011’ is a contest to search for a dignified, beautiful lady boy under the concept of ‘Beauty & Generosity’.

With the floods in many provinces in Thailand it has created  suffering and difficulties for many people, therefore the ‘Miss International Queen 2011’ contest organized an auction of 10 boats belonging to former Miss International Queens such as Poy, Trichda Phetcharat Miss International Queen 2001, and Film, Thanyarat Jitprapajin Miss International Queen 2007 whereby all the proceeds will be used to assist the flood victims under the concept ‘ Beauty & Generosity’.

The auction raised 270,000 baht and was donated to the Chaipathana Foundation, a charity under His Majesty the King’s patronage’

‘Miss Sahhara’ from Nigeria came in second place in the final contest and the second runner up was Margaret for the Lebanon.
