This week we bade a fond farewell to our very popular member Jeff Bunn who has returned home for the winter. Jeff certainly signed off in some style winning 2 out of his 3 competitions and finishing just outside the points for his third. We all look forward to his return and will be happy to review his handicap in the New Year.
This week was probably our best ever week in terms of numbers, with 3 minibuses and a convoy of private cars leaving the Travellers each day. Sadly for me however my highlight of the week was finishing runner up in the pool comp on Thursday night, so a much needed trip to the range is in order.

Monday saw an impressive field of 25 players take on Mountain Shadow. Division 1 winner was Jeff Bunn with 37 points, with Frank Hughes heading Div 2 with 33.

On Tuesday we headed to Greenwood, which is now looking in great shape just in time for the High Season, and once again Jeff was victorious with a great score of 40 points in Div 1, with Jim Cleaver cooking up a great score of 39 to lead Div 2.

Our regular Thursday trip to Phoenix saw our biggest field of the year so far take on Lakes & Oceans, where we had an overall winner Stewart Booth on 40 points, with Div 1 won by Jon Dean, and Div 2 by Jack McNamara.
Saturday, November 19, Crystal Bay – Stableford
Finally Saturday saw us go to Crystal Bay, where I had the pleasure of playing the B course for the first time, and I must say it is probably my favourite 9 holes in Pattaya. David Booth scored an impressive 37 points to win Div 1, with Brett Arnold winning Div 2 with an even better 38 points.
