PSC December Monthly Golf Tournament
The 103rd PSC monthly golf tournament was staged at Greenwood Golf Club on Friday December17. The layout was in excellent condition considering they had just had a big rain storm earlier in the morning and the staff did a superb job getting the course in shape. We did play “lift, clean and place” in the fairways however.
Welcoming a full complement of 144 golfers, the Golf Chairman Joe Mooneyham and Max Matthews did a great job in getting everyone organized and off to their correct starting tees on time.

The weather was perfect for golf as the gods blessed us with low humidity and a nice breeze. Some good rounds were scored, as usually happens when you have a full slate of players, and taking the Low Gross honors this month was Patrick Kelly with a fine round of 74 off the stick.
The A Flight was headed by Jeff Wylie on net 70 with Francis Goyons and Jan Anderson taking the minor places. Reg McKay was best in the B Flight with net 66 to finish a veritable street ahead of Paul Avery and Richard Kubicki.

In the C Flight John Bartley came out on top with 39 points to just edge ahead of Mel Davis and John Hughes, while D Flight saw the best Stableford score of the day, 45 points from Morten Esseth, to finish eleven better than runner up Nigel Canon.
Yui Bietry meanwhile knocked it round in an even par 36 points to win the Ladies division ahead of Initra Coranson
Diana Garden Resort was again the venue for the presentation and thanks to the staff there for their always great service. The buffet was delicious and was enjoyed by all and Happy Hour prices were again in effect and appreciated.
After the prize giving, Joe Mooneyham, announced that in the spirit of the Holidays we were all getting a nice gift. Thanks again, Joe.
