PSC golf from the Fairways Golf Society
Monday, Dec. 12, Greenwood – Stableford
Once again the conditions were ideal for golf – not too hot and a nice cool breeze – and we all got round in less than four hours, what more can you ask for? So with a good turn out today we had two divisions with four places in each.
It took a three-way count back to decide third and fourth places in the A flight with Steve Mann being the one to lose out for a place on the podium. Once again Don Carmody had an excellent round to take the B flight with the best score of the day (39pts) from the lovely noisy Noi Emerson. And John Coetzee managed to get in the frame once again on his final round with us before returning home to Australia. Bon Voyage John see you next trip.

We arrived here today understanding that there was a set price green fee for two people sharing a golf kart. But there was the normal confusion as there was one price advertised in the pro shop a different price in the dressing rooms, and yet another price by the starters hut. Needless to say we had to pay the most expensive one!
Now I’ve got that of my chest, on with the golf. It was nice to see Pier Cere taking the honours today with a level par round as he has been idling away in the doldrums for quite some time now. Second place was decided on count back with Tony beating Raji 18-17. Also it was nice to welcome back Fred Land on his winter break.
Near pins went to Raji, Ken Meek, Fred Land and Jason Cole.
