Enough players gathered at Green Valley on Wednesday to warrant two flights and Phonsie McGaham went one better than Monday to claim top spot in the A Flight with a best of the day 42 points. Phonsie finished four clear of Ted Gardner in second while Brian Orr took third a further two adrift.

Ed Horrocks scored a fine 39 points to claim B Flight honours on count back from Bernard Channing while Frank Sharkey completed the podium.

Two more flights again on Friday at Bangpra with Clive Bruce taking out the premier division on 39 ahead of Phonsie McGahan, who edged Jim McGovern for second on count back
Ian McGovern topped the B Flight with 34 points while Bernard Channing claimed the runner-up spot on 32.
