The Pattaya Players will showcase their 2013 season showstopper on June 14 and 15 with “Divorce Sale” – an uproarious comedy by Linda Stockham. “Divorce Sale” centers around a soon-to-be divorcee who holds a garage sale with her neighbors help. In the process, their own marriages get the comic once-over.
Bernice’s suspicions about her spouse’s faithfulness are driving him batty; Ozzie and Kay seem to have the perfect union – but their friends have yet to learn the story behind it; and Wilma is convinced her late husband has come back as a plant. Throw in a tell-it-like-it-is medium and a raucous seance, and you have a hilarious and telling look at the flip-side of marital bliss.
“Divorce Sale” is directed by Pattaya Players founder, Christopher T. Parsons, who most recently directed the One Act Play entitled “Oprah Made Me Do It” and is locally renowned for his Pattaya Players directorial masterpiece of Neil Simon’s “Rumors” in 2011.
Tickets are on sale now for 1,000 baht (inclusive of an all you can eat buffet) dinner catered by Eastern Grand Palace Hotel. Seating for the Pattaya Players’ summer productions fill early, so prompt ticket reservations are suggested!
