Pattaya’s romantic jazz on the roof made its comeback on Friday 25 October as the dusitD2 Baraquda launched its second season of music from the rooftop sunset lounge. Top class saxophonist Aht Gunlayanukupt is set to perform for guests every Friday and Saturday evening for the next few months.
Aht said his love for the Sax was inspired by HM The King of Thailand, when as a boy he saw a picture of the King playing saxophone, and this inspired him to research all His Majesty’s composition and to take lessons himself. He has come a long way since then and is now regarded as one of Thailand’s best saxophonists and musicians.

Aht will be performing some great numbers from the roof of dusitD2 such as “Forever in Love” by Kenny G, “Misty”, “What a Wonderful World”, “Summertime”, plus many more, including “Chata Cheewit” as composed by HM The King of Thailand.
Serm Phenjati, the owner of dusitD2 Baraquda said he’s very proud that he was able to provide the residents and tourists in Pattaya with this great venue on the 6th floor overlooking the busy Second Road and night life, and yet high enough up to enjoy a certain amount of tranquility for diners to relax and soak up the live jazz music.
