This past week Pattaya City attracted scores of locals and tourists to join in the filming of a music video honoring His Majesty the King in the run up to his birthday next month.
The song “Pid Thong Lang Phra” was being filmed and put to music in Pattaya from November 19-22, with filming taking place at the Royal Varuna Yacht Club, Bali Hai Pier, Pattaya City Hall, Jomtien Beach, Naklua’s Zign Hotel and the Sanctuary of Truth.

The song praises His Majesty on the occasion of his 84th birthday on December 5 this year, with a first verse that recites King Bhumibol Adulyadej’s full 10-word name, then says, “His royal highness is the heart of all Thais. His royal highness is the center of all Thais.”
The video shoot was also well attended by various clubs, associations, cooperatives, cultural councils, foundations and public agencies from in and around Pattaya.
The finished filmed will be broadcasts on the Thai national channels as well as local cable TV stations as a sign of love and respect to the great King of Thailand.
