A feature attracting considerable attention, at this year’s Un Ai Rak Klai Khwam Nao Streams of Rattanakosin Winter Festival in Bangkok, is a collection of statues made completely out of Lego.

Hundreds of thousands of Lego pieces have been used to create one of the festival’s most interesting exhibitions. The blocks have been used to recreate the Suphannahong Royal Barge, the Narai Song Suban HM King Rama IX Royal Barge, Chakri Maha Prasat Throne Hall and images of Chakri dynasty monarchs.

Another attractive showcase is the “Streams of Love” film being screened for audiences to learn about Thailand during the reign of King Rama VII, a period in which major bridges, such as Phra Buddha Yod Fah, were opened. The screening area includes a Virtual Reality studio where visitors can immerse themselves in the five minute film.

The festival, which is taking place in front of Dusit Palace and Sanam Sua Pa.  continues daily until January 19, 2019.
