Another stratospheric supercar was announced at the Geneva motor show in March. Called the Aventador LP 750-4 Superveloce, it is a special edition of the existing Aventador. The 750 in the name comes from the 750 horsepower thumping out of its V12 engine, while the Superveloce simply means “high-speed”. It is fitting, as Lamborghini only gives that label to its most extreme, track focused cars as a swan song for a model at the end of its production run.

On top of its increased power, the Aventador Superveloce is lighter and has better aerodynamics which results in the ability to accelerate from 0-100km/h in 2.8 seconds, with a top speed of more than 350km/h. Or as its maker puts it: “The fastest and most emotional series production Lamborghini ever.”
To reduce weight, carbon fiber has been used extensively throughout, with the car seats and door panels now made from carbon. To further reduce weight, the infotainment system has been thrown out, so has the carpets and certain noise insulation parts.
This is another pseudo-road car, which is really only for the race track.
