The promoting group that used to be known as OMP has morphed into something called the Race Factory XOD Challenge and are promoting their race meeting this weekend at Bira Circuit. This is a one day meeting and is on Sunday, May 18.
The cars competing seem to be the usual mixture of sedans and pick-ups with a fair few “Retro” cars as well. We are running the retro Escort after a rebuild of the brakes and suspension, so hope to be a little quicker than before.
Action at Bira.
We are also doing a comparison test for the B-Quik organization, between the Achilles rubber and the Nitto NT 01 tyres. This is not an easy back to back, as many times the track may be slower after an engine has dumped oil on a corner, necessitating a slow down at that section of the lap.
The Bira circuit is on Highway 36 about three km past the Regents School heading towards Rayong and on the right.
