Pattaya workers repaired metal gates covering storm drains on Third Road.
Deputy Mayor Pattana Boonsawad inspected the busy street at the Mum Aroi restaurant intersection July 4 which suffers chronic flooding. The city dredged drainage channels on side of the road and covered the drainage ways with steel grates.
However, some of the grates were leveled with wires that created a hazard for drivers. The deputy mayor ordered workers to level the grates properly and remove the haphazard wire system they used.
The work was completed in a day. (PCPR)
