With plans for an automated, high-tech arena languishing on the drawing boards, Pattaya boat owners have taken over a car-parking lot in Jomtien Beach for their watercraft.
Boat trailers, both empty and full, fill the lot near the beach, depriving the area of much-needed spaces for road vehicles and causing a general eyesore.
As so often is the case with traffic violations in Pattaya, police have ignored the problem.
