The “red and black road” has become the “black and blue boulevard” as steel rods sticking out of the pavement are posing serious accident risks on Soi Daeng-Dum.
Work to replace water pipes has left the street near the intersection of Thepprasit Road a mess all the way to the Grand Condo.
The pipe-replacement work that began in June is done, but the road still has not been resurfaced with new concrete. As a result, the pipe connections still have steel bars protruding from them.
They obviously pose a traffic hazard, but have been left for some time by Provincial Waterworks Authority workers.
Residents have called on authorities to get back to work and finish the job and not leave the street in dangerous shambles.
