Spend enough time on Thai roads and you’ll soon learn there is no load too big to be carried in the back of a pickup truck.
But a Toyota Vigo with no license plate spotted Nov. 27 on Route 331 headed toward Prachinburi pushed the limits of what even Thai drivers would consider reasonable.
The truck was loaded with mattresses stacked twice as tall as the vehicle. And with the stops, starts and turns of the road, the entire tower had begun leaning to the left.
It seemed only a matter of time until the entire load went over, or possibly the truck as well.
Needless to say, the truck pretty much had the road to itself, as no sane driver was willing to follow too closely, let alone pull alongside.
Of course, there was not a traffic cop to be found.
