Six Vietnamese fishermen were captured after the navy intercepted their boats fishing illegally in Thai waters.
Two patrol boats from the Sattahip Naval Base captured the three boats disguised to look like Thai vessels about 60 nautical miles off Khao Leam Phujao. The boats, which carried Thai flags and had their registration numbers and names hidden, were manned by two crewmen each.
The navy filed criminal charges for illegal fishing and entering the kingdom illegally and would deport the fishermen.
