BANGKOK, 5 May 2015 – The Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT) has joined hands with the private sector to hold the Amazing Thailand Grand Sale 2015 this June to boost domestic tourism in keep with the ‘Discover Thainess’ campaign.
TAT’s Deputy Governor for Tourism Products Vilaiwan Twichasri has said that the Amazing Thailand Grand Sale 2015 event will take place during 11-14 June 2015 at the Queen Sirikit National Convention Center in Bangkok. This year’s goal is to stimulate the domestic tourism market and local products.
The event will feature up to 80 percent sales from vendors, shopping centers, tourism companies, and hotels to stimulate the spendings from Thai and foreign tourists in keep with the ‘Discover Thainess’ tourism campaign. Another goal is to push Thailand forward as a trade and tourism hub of the Southeast Asia region, as well as stimulating the domestic economy.
On the organization of this event, N.C.C. Exhibition Organizer’s General Manager Bussaya Prakobthong has said that this event, being held for the 14th consecutive year, will be a major discount event for tourism products and services in this year.
She has said that the event will also feature fashion products from new generation designers on the internet, who will use this event as a stage to show their potential and further expand their businesses.
The 4-day event is expected to welcome up to 120,000 visitors, a 10% increase from the previous year, and will generate about 120 million baht of money in circulation.
