BANGKOK, 5 August 2013 Aroma Group is holding “the 5th Thailand Indy Barista Championships: Champ of the Champs level” to find Thailand’s best coffee brewer and push Thailand’s barista industry to an international level.
The winner will be awarded a trophy from Princess Bajrakitiyabha, cash prize and a set of coffee makers worth over 100,000 baht as well as the chance to represent Thailand in Australia and develop skills and learning from Teacher Por, an international coffee making guru.
Mr. Kijja Wongwaree, Executive Director of Aroma Group, a leading all round coffee making business for over 50 years said that Aroma Group in cooperation with the Thailand Coffee & Tea Association and Folcon products have come together to organize the 5th Thailand Indy Barista Championships.
In the Champ of the Champs round competitors will get a chance to learn the correct methods for coffee brewing and latte foam art according to Espresso standards, as well as to show off their own creations and unique menus.
There are currently over 80,000 cafes open all over Thailand with over 100,000 baristas. This project will help boost self development and skills.
